Pinwin was born and raised in a small village in the Dutch "Veluwe" region, right in the middle of the Netherlands. Around 1997 he came across "Dinky", a Dutch (graffiti) artist, who inspired Pinwin to start doing graffiti.
At first in the most conventional way of doing graffiti, by doing tags, throwups and pieces, but after a few years his style developed into a significant character in the shape of a Penguin. (Pinwin is a Dutch wordplay to the word Penguin)
