In February 2018 at Sotheby's, Pablo Picasso's Femme au béret et à la robe quadrillée (1937) sold for £49,827,000. making it the highest auction price for any painting ever sold in Europe in pounds...?
As a continuation of Nick's artwork exploring the proportional value of the sale value realised by Da Vinci's, Salvator Mundi - Last night was a late one, applying the same principle to this Picasso as soon as the auction results came in. Measuring 55x46cm this equates to 414 individual colour chips each having a proportional value of £120,355 and 7 pence. This collage on Fabriano 5 paper measures 78x69cm including the border.
