This was the second print produced at the Slowly Downward Manufactory using the archival ink-jet 'giclée' printing process - the first being 'Divided Woods'. Stanley Donwood and his collaborator Comrade Winstanley spent many hours attempting to produce this picture using their screen printing equipment, but the complexity of the image, which was a digitally-manipulated version of a large-scale painting defeated them.
Time would prove Stanley's ally- in 2025 Friday Woods was released as a 17 color screen print by Tin Dogs. The work to complete a screen print of this image took over a year of planning and work. The first few prints of the 2025 66 print edition were sold at the 2025 London Art Fair. The remaining quantity will be sold by Whistleblower Gallery.
