Jeffrey Lee Lewis received his M.F.A from Parson School of Design in 1995 and has participated in numerous group shows from Robert Miller in New York to Baldwin Gallery in Aspen. His artwork is rooted in an intuitive process deeply influenced both by Abstract Expressionism and mandala sand painting. He believes that in drawing emblems and repetitive patterns, the artist can achieve a trance-like state bringing one closer to personal resolve. In 2012, Jeffrey took part in an ambitious surf-themed exhibition called “Swell” alongside Ed Ruscha, Roe Ethridge and Robert Longo.
