Ryan Nord Kitchen was named a "brilliant newcomer" with "quietly stunning" work by Roberta Smith in The New York Times following his solo show at Nicelle Beauchene. His paintings are intimate semi-abstractions rendered with a restrained color palette that read as both delibrate and yet with an "effortless tossed-off charm." For Two Views, Kitchen extended us a pair of works on paper that we translated into a set of archival pigment prints. The editions encapsulate his knack for creating poetic compositions that traverse genre from abstraction to figuration, landscape to calligraphy.
