Josh Reames' "computer-screen-like canvasses are meant to mimic the idiosyncratic, non-objective streams of information we experience every day, whether it's online or walking down the street," as stated by Artnet. Reames paints collections of ubiquitous subject matter, inspired by the equalized hierarchy of importance one gets from scrolling through an internet feed. In Cowpoke, he references his hometown of Dallas, Texas, with a western motif -- circling the canvas with airbrushed neon zigzags, lassos and trompe l'oeil bullet holes.
