Anne Neukamp visually bridges analog functionality with digital technologies through abstracted illustrative compositions that render both types of objects obsolete. Her paintings destabilize the visual cues of contemporary society by recalling and confusing its original usage. Neukamp works in controlled color palettes, juxtaposing bright, glossy colors and seemingly weathered backgrounds, emphasizing the disparate images sans judgement.
For Eterna, Neukamp created an exclusive image for Exhibition A by collaging a black and white photocopy of a vintage magazine with an ambiguous digital element, underscoring her ability to create dominant compositions which exist in the surreal space that bridges past, present, and future.
