Rosie Emerson was born in Dorset in 1981. Since graduating in Fine Art from Kingston University In 2004, she has dedicated her work to exploring beauty, power and voyeurism within the subject of the female image.
Emerson’s figures draw reference from archetype’s old and new, from Artemis to the modern day super model. Depicted as solitary performers, the women are objects of desire trapped in an enigmatic image of irresistibility and impotence.
Rosie has exhibited widely in the UK, as well as in Europe, and the US. Rosie has also brands including Sony, Triumph Underwear, Redbull, P&O Cruises, Toms, and Annoushka Jewelry. Her unique collage style as led to her work being published the likes of Vogue, Harpers Bazaar and The Financial Times ‘How to spend it’ Magazine.
