Interesni Kazki are Aleksei Bordusov aka AEC and Vladimir Manzhos aka Waone, and together they've been taking the street art world by storm in recent years with their surrealistic, detailed and brightly-coloured, large-scale murals beautifying walls and tower blocks all over the globe. Precursors of the flourishing graffiti movement in Eastern Europe, the duo had previously been painting public walls in their native Ukraine and across the border in Russia for well over ten years.
It's no surprise the name Interesni Kazki translates to "Interesting Stories" – themes of cosmology, science and religion run through everything they create, as well as free meanings intended to allow viewers to develop their own narrative: "Every single piece is sort of a rebus and contains a secret to decipher", say the artists.
