"The layers we’ve created for this piece are drawn from new signage, notably the popular sign in NYC that promises to eradicate bed bugs.
It is the second of three prints on paper I am working on that incorporates my own work along with common street signs that populate the American roads. I particularly like the “stressed” look of the CFYW signage (stickers?) in the foreground.
The prints themselves are another collaboration with James Weinberg of Weinberg Design. When we first met it was clear James understood what I was after: to compress a number images that have inspired CFYW, and to blend them with our own imagery in a way that is both abstract and referential.
