On the occasion of her solo exhibition opening tonight at CANADA on the Lower East Side, we release a six-color silkscreen print edition with Sadie Laska. Here Laska overlays frenetic symbols of extinction, anarchy, and whimsical cartoon clouds which intermingle atmospherically and together form a narrative both ominous and playful. Vibrating colors compete for the viewer's attention. A peace snail drawing from an old punk flyer resurfaces with environmental overtones. A systematic union within the ’Cloud’ functions as a symbol of our collective conscience.
More
