Alain Biltereyst's small geometric paintings on wood panels were a standout this spring in Jack Hanley's booth at NADA New York. Biltereyst follows in the tradition of Ellsworth Kelly, Frank Stella, and Kenneth Noland, referencing Geometric Abstraction and Hard-Edge painting of the 1960s as well as contemporary commercial signage and graphic design. He says, "it is my intention to make poetic work and to be as simple as possible."
