Anne Hardy's enigmatic tableaux are constructed through a lengthy process of set-building using rubbish found outside the studio. Reflection suggests the corner of a faded institutional gym abandoned by its occupants— with no clue as to why, or where, or what the purpose of this space or its miscellaneous objects might be. In open-endedly presenting the familiar made strange, Hardy invites the viewer to create their own theatrical narratives. Hardy worked closely with Germany's legendary photographic printer Volker Grieger to produce this energetic yet uncanny print.
