"I had read somewhere that a certain review called "mad max" a "feminist revelation". And I believe that it is. As a feminist, I read plenty of articles about pop culture that show women in a helpless/negative light and how that needs to change. All the change happened in this movie. Charlize Theron with her supermodel good looks played the hero, and the man (mad max) was a chained up box of problems interfering with her plan. For women, its a movie redemptive in many ways. First, Charlize rescued the baby mamas from the evil rapist dude who was ruining everything and torturing everyone. And later they met up with those older ladies who really kicked everyone's ass. I heard they did all their own stunts, which makes me want them to adopt me. I mean, what woman does not aspire to be a kick-ass older woman?
So I had Charlize Theron on the brain and also cats (which is normal for me) and I realized I had to make a cat movie poster about it. If she were a cat, she would be a sphinx for sure. Mad Cat is a mutt of sorts. It's a little weird making movie characters into cats, but this one was an artistic delight. If you are female, and you feel kind of scared and negative right now, it is an excellent movie choice." - Mary Williams
