On the occasion of The Kitchen Spring Benefit Gala Honoring Nan Goldin and Lydia Lunch, Goldin has created a limited-edition C-print. The iconic image depicts a reclining Lydia Lunch at the Russian baths on 10th Street in the East Village in 1985. Originally shot as part of a spread called "Masculine/Feminine" for the preview issue of the Village Voice's legendary but short-lived fashion insert Vue, this image was ultimately not included in the final layout. This limited-edition print is the first time this image is being made available to the public.
Proceeds from the sale of this edition will support artists whose groundbreaking, genre-defying work appears at The Kitchen throughout the year. This unique edition is now available for pre-sale, to be available for pick up and shipping following the gala on May 16, 2018.
