While working on the recording of Radiohead's album A Moon Shaped Pool in the South of France, Donwood produced a series of original works on paper in response to the band's live recordings. While experimenting, the artist dug into the ground and these hollows were filled with water. The pools were then filled with pigments and then materials were used to lift these from the water. The completed pieces became records of a moment in time and of the atmosphere from where they were made.
Between is Stanley Donwood's most recent print. It has been produced in combination with Tin Dogs Fine Art at the back of our gallery. It is part of a Limited Edition of 20; each print is unique as the use of copper leaf gives each one a different combination of shades, tonnes and lines.
