Woman and Man in Grayscale (2017) by Derrick Adams
In honor of the 2017 Brooklyn Artists Ball honoring Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz, Derrick Adams and the Brooklyn Museum present a continuation of Adams' iconic series of geometric figures with Woman and Man in Grayscale (2017). In March 2017 Adams opened his second solo exhibition at Chicago's legendary Rhona Hoffman Gallery, followed immediately by the opening of his exhibition Network at the California African American Museum; following his receipt of the Wein Artist Prize from the Studio Museum in Harlem last year, the Studio Museum will present a satellite project by Derrick later this spring at the Schomburg Center. The work is being sold as an artist-signed diptych edition of 50.
