Delphine Hennelly employs repetition in her work as a means of storytelling. Moss and Green is a series of 4 separate, but similar, images that evoke a sense of movement and passage of time. This series depicts Strolling Players, the name given to actors in the Elizabethan Period. These figures feel a bit vague: slightly costumed, meandering in a bucolic landscape on an undefined journey. We're left in the dark about where these characters are going, but perhaps that's the point. As the old saying goes, it's the journey, not the destination, that really counts.
