The silk screen print "synthetic prime" is one of Alex Kiessling's first works in which an artificially generated motif is used as the basis for the work of art. Inspired by Andy Warhol's favorite film "Creation of the humanoids" (1964), a virtual figure was created that acts as a placeholder for the "artificial human", within the framework of the Shifts series and Kiessling's art in general, building the bridge between analog and digital . With "synthetic prime" the boundary of the "uncanny valley phenomenon" is deliberately crossed in order to emphasize the merging of natural and artificial worlds for recipients.
