Exhibited in Untitled (Depression),—the artist's first tondo edition, printed on rising museum board—Fishman's evolving exploration of vibrant pill-shaped reliefs are created to attract immediate attention, mimicking the vigorous and persuasive tactics used by drug companies and their advertising agents: "[The shapes within the print] are appropriated from actual pills that I have found images of online, and the cuts in their surfaces correspond to the score marks that allow these drugs to be divided into smaller doses. [The form] connects them to the social problems of today."
