On the occasion of this year's ICP Photobook Fest, Printed Matter is pleased to announce a new fundraising edition with photographer Todd Hido, #2479-a, 1999, from his series House Hunting, one of the artist's earliest experiments with photographing in the snow at night. We are delighted to work with Todd to translate this classic image into the Risograph printing space. The Riso process, partway between photocopying, screen printing, and traditional offset, accentuates the translation of a photograph into ink on paper in a tactile, unique way. "As somebody who prints my own photographs," observes Hido, "I find it very interesting to use a different syntax to put a picture together. … I love how it affords me an opportunity to create something that's ever so slightly different, but still related to what I originally made."
