This limited edition print has been created exclusively for Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and is taken from an original series of work, Blue Rubrics, featured in the headline exhibition, William Kentridge: The Pull of Gravity. The series of original works feature Lapis Lazuli pigment on found paper and can be seen in the Underground Gallery 28 Jun 2025 – 19 Apr 2026.
William Kentridge is known for his work across a range of media, including drawing, animated films, theatre and opera productions. His practice questions grand narratives from history, politics, science, literature and music, alongside an ongoing interrogation of the legacy of colonialism. His work references avant-garde movements such as Dada and Surrealism in his celebration of the illogical and darkly humorous.
