"This original painting found a home on the opening night of “Into the Light” a solo show in Sydney, Australia where I merged portrait works with geometric styling. The painting was created using a Nicolas' photo, wood stain, brush acrylic and spray paint all merged together on wooden panel to create the desired look and effect. "I was working on a project where I was basically photographing models (who were also good friends) very raw and real. No make-up or hair or styling. In this case, Cassy went skinny dipping in a pool in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, California. Vans and I have been following each others work for some time now. He hit me up and said he was going to start painting some huge portraits and wanted to know if I had some shots he could use, I sent him all my shots of Cassy and they just worked for him...he killed it." - Nicolas Corradi
